Originally hailing from New England, I moved to “old England” in 2013 where I now reside with my husband and dog as a naturalised citizen. No matter my location, beer has always been my bevvy of choice. Over the years, my passion for it continued to ferment and in early 2020, I developed a strong thirst for beer education and exploration on a deeper level.

Adventures_in_Hoptimism was conceived as a creative outlet to share this beer journey without spamming my friends and family and has helped me grow closer to the craft beer community, including other beer loving women and under-represented communities within this scene that shared this passion.

Like a gueuze, I’m more than just one note, can potentially be an acquired taste – though I can improve with time – and pair well with cheese! While beer and the space in which it is brewed, sold, and enjoyed is the heart of my content, I love to blend it where possible with the various other hobbies and interests I’ve collected over the years – including gaming, brick/model building, travel, and all things Japan.
